I hand washed it afterwards, then used it today, about two weeks after I bought it. I poured hot coffee into it, and the outside of the thermos has become almost too hot to touch. It is obvious that the vacuum seal has broken and lost all its insulating properties.
I thought the Thermos brand meant quality, but I guess this is what I get for buying a cheapened product from WalMart. I don't recommend this product.
