(More customer reviews)The specs on this filter are quite good. The cost is a bit excessive especially if you own a Kenmore branded Whirlpool refrigerator and buy your filters from Sears. Also note that the replacement alarm on your refrigerator is based on a timer for typical family conditions. If you are just a family of two, reset the alarm and replace the filter when the alarm comes on a second time or possibly a third time if useage is light.

I kept one for myself since I do a lot of cooking with garlic and onions. I rub my hands with the soap under cold water and all the bad odors disappear like magic from my fingers. It also works for taking the smell away after eating lobster in the shell. The enclosed soap dish is a nice touch and allows us to keep it by the sink all the time. Buy it just for the cool factor!
